companies staff have to be 60% full time and only 10% of their to be agency
to make it illegal to have more than 10% of their total staff numbers agency or 15% of any department in a company. That 60% of their staff have to be full time employed with exemptions for Agency companies or charities.
we wish to stop companies putting profit above peoples lives and safety. if they are able to replace their staff completely with agency, who will be liable when an agency worker is not fully trained specific peace of machinery or on a specific rout but has a general training in the area and something goes wrong. By having all or the majority of their staff on agency they are bypassing employment laws on holidays, sick pay unfair dismissal etc.
