Petition Action

Stop the oil industry bankrupting the country.

Petition Details

The government announced a 5p per litre reduction in fuel duty as of 6pm on Wednesday 23rd March. So why is the cost of fuel continuing to rise?

Oil prices have come down, why hasn't the cost at the pump?

Additional Information

The government have indeed attempted to address the issue of fuel prices, and the industry has instead decided to make themselves richer at the expense of the general public. Surely at this stage the government is duty bound to step in and make change. This is not an industry without oversight and we need tighter regulation and enforcement around the cost at the pump.
