Award the nation and people of Ukraine the George Cross Medal.
The first George Cross was awarded to the island of Malta almost exactly 80 years ago in honour of their resistance to aerial attacks by a brutal enemy. It was awarded by the monarch of the time on behalf of the British people. In the Queen's 70th year of her reign it would be most fitting.
The Medal is awarded for "acts of the greatest heroism or of the most conspicuous courage in circumstances of extreme danger" and the people of Ukraine are showing that to the world every day. As a nation we stand with them and we want them to know.
