Limit how strong car headlights can be
Make a law limiting car headlight light power by limiting car manufacturers from making their headlights too bright (using a hard limit in lumens)
The trend of making car headlights on new cars brighter are causing issues: they are too bright and even without switching on beaming headlights, can easily dazzle drivers, especially at night.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
There is already international legislation that proscribes the permitted bulbs that can be used in car headlights. This is set out in UN regulations: unece.org/fileadmin/DAM/trans/main/wp29/wp29regs/R037r7e.pdf
We could accept a petition calling on the Government to review existing rules regarding car headlights, to see if these need to be updated, if that's something you'd like to happen.
