Statue of Dame Margot Fonteyn to be created and placed outside Royal Opera House, Covent Garden
Dame Margot Fonteyn, Prima Ballerina Assoluta was Britain's and one of the world's greatest ever ballerina's, enjoying many of her greatest successes at The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London. And yet disgracefully there is no statue to celebrate her memory. We ask that a statue of her, perhaps with her greatest partner Rudol Nureyev, be created and placed outside the above in time for the 100th anniversary of her birth in 2019.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Memorials and statues are private initiatives, so the Royal Opera House might wish to do this. Perhaps also enquire at the Mayor's office?
