Petition Action

Make homework optional.

Petition Details

Scientifically, it has been proven that a child's mental health is affected by the homework they are given. It also does not provide any real benefit. I believe that children should have a right not to complete homework.

Additional Information

I want the government to realise the effects of homework and what it does for young children. I want the government to discuss this and give children a choice about whether to complete homework or not. It has been proven that homework causes stress and effects the mental health and well being of children. I believe that giving children the choice not to complete homework will give children less stress and more time to focus on what’s important.
