Make every Friday a half day

Petition Details

I would like them to understand that Friday is a stressful day for everyone and a lot of commute so I am proposing that all work and school day finish at 12:30 every Friday so people can have a well deserved rest and Friday evening are not a nightmare to get home

Additional Information

Because I think that it is a necessary idea that could ease a lot of peoples suffering

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Deciding whether to allow staff to work a four day week is a matter for employers, not the UK Government or the House of Commons. In any case, employees are already entitled to request a four day working week.

UK law places limits on the total amount of time someone can work during a week and the minimum amount they can be paid an hour, but it doesn't specify how many or which days of the week they have to work.
