Help tackle homophobic & racist abuse towards children in schools.
Take more action towards adults & children in schools receiving racist/homophobic insults, slurs etc.
I don't think that the way schools deal with this helps and the homophobic/racist comments continue after they have been warned.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand you're concerned about homophobic and racist bullying in schools. However, it's not clear what you'd like the Government to do to about it. Schools are already required to develop a behaviour policy which must acknowledge the school’s legal duties under the Equality Act 2010. You can find out more about this here: assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/488034/Behaviour_and_Discipline_in_Schools_-_A_guide_for_headteachers_and_School_Staff.pdf
