Teach Spanish in Uk schools instead of French
Instead of the uk schools to be learning french as a second language, lets learn Spanish, therefore I think there would be more children and young people willing to learn it in schools, and will enjoy more, and because Spanish is more used in the world and it would be more useful for ourselves.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Schools are required to teach languages from ages 7 to 14, but decisions about what languages to teach are a matter for individual schools, not the UK Government or Parliament. Most schools teach one or more of French, German and Spanish, but the Government does not promote the teaching of particular languages.
