Get our UK Police Force the Mental Health training they need, and deserve.
Police are now assigned to mental health call outs in the community, without any mental health training. I couldn't believe this at first. This is quite poor considering, these amazing officers are doing everything they can to protect us, but how can they protect in areas they don't understand?
From my own personal experiences, struggling with my mental health; I have met numerous police officers in recent months; who have come to my abode to keep me safe and to protect me. Some of these individuals are living angels, saving so many. It just really upset me to hear that they don't get training for mental health, considering the amazing job they do. I believe they should be entitled to this training, for the benefit of our police force, and our community, to ensure the best outcome.

We understand that you're concerned about the lack of mental health training for police officers, but we're not sure if you want the Government to require police officers take mental health training, or to fund this training, or both.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. The UK Government is only responsible for policing in England and Wales, not the whole of the UK.
