Reform the UN Security Council. Support the KYIV conference initiative.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky proposed holding a global conference in Kyiv to reform the United Nations system during an address to the Security Council on Tuesday 5th April 2022 . The UK government should support this initiative and work with others to reform the UNSC.
The Ukraine war has highlighted a flaw in the UNSC in its current format , and it requires reform to make it effective and fit for the 21st Century.
