Allow fathers who are not UK citizens to be present for the birth of their baby
The govt to make an exception to fathers who are not British and do not meet financial requirements of entry into the UK and let them see their baby for the first time and to be present during their birth. My partner was denied a visa and since has not met our son who is now nearly two years old.
No one should be denied the right to be present during the birth of their children. No matter where the father is from in the world. Not everyone who does not have a consistent income wants to stay in the UK illegally or at all. Keeping parents away from children and potentially breaking up families is beyond wrong. We do not look back at life and remember what we bought but the memories we made. This is time we will NEVER get back. This should never happen to anyone and it is discriminatory.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure if you want the Government to waive visa requirements for non-UK nationals who are having a child in the UK, or to create a new visa for people in this situation.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
