Grant aid to Sri Lanka due to major economic crisis
Send aid shipments (food, fuel etc.) to fellow Commonwealth member Sri Lanka during their worst economic crisis in 73 years.
Many people are in poverty and cannot afford basic necessities (such as fuel, food etc.) due to economic downturn caused by the Rajapaksa government. The country is in extremely dire need of foreign aid and Britain has maintained a good relationship as Sri Lanka is a member of the Commonwealth.
