To increase the out dated mileage expenses for community nurses.
All expenses are agreed nationally by the government . It's affecting so many people. These current outdated rates need renewing.
Please update the milage rate for nurses, social care workers, carers and other workers who support people in the community.
Those working in the community needs to travel to support vulnerable families. We are being hit even more by cost of fuel.
Rates are out dated and not reviewed for a long time
We are losing money by continuing to do the job we love in the community.
Unfortunately the love of our job and wanting to support people doesn’t cover the extra cost to us.
We want you to updated the milage rate to reflect the current times and make it more attractive for us to stay working in the community.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
The Government sets approved amounts of Mileage Allowance Payments, which are 45p for the first 10,000 miles, and 25p for more than 10,000 miles. Decisions about whether to use these rates or use different rates are a matter for individual employers, not the UK Government or Parliament. Reimbursement of travel costs are covered by the NHS Terms and Conditions, jointly agreed by employers and the National Health Service trade unions.
We have published the following petitions, which you might like to sign:
