Petition Action

Ban disruptive protests.

Petition Details

To bring in laws to prevent protestors from disrupting the lives of law abiding people.

Additional Information

The right to protest lawfully is an important part of British society / culture. However disrupting highways and fuel deliveries causes significant disruption to law abiding citizens. It has caused people to lose days at work and other more serious consequences. Normal people are fed up with their lives being blighted by 'extreme' protestors.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. We're not sure what you'd like to be covered by 'disruptive' protests.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. You might also want to know that the Government is currently legislating on increased policing powers relating to protests
