Take calories off menus at restaurants.
Calories should not be on menus in restaurants. Recently, the government have made it compulsory for calories to be put on menus and this is unacceptable.
Many people in the UK suffer from disordered eating such as anorexia, bulimia and others. For a lot of these people seeing calories on the menu increases anxiety and makes it less likely for them to visit a restaurant. It is estimated that 1.25 million people in the UK suffer from an eating disorder.
This also creates discomfort for people with disordered eating when in recovery to see the calories on the menu.
