Stop the press from publishing photos of wreckages from road accidents
We want The Government to make sure that no crash scene photos are published online or in print unless they have authority from the next of kin involved in the accident.
When it comes to road accidents , journalists seem to think it's appropriate to publish photos from the scene, often showing very distressing and graphic photos. Often these accidents are fatal ,and it's been known that these are online before all next of kin have been informed.
Why any news publication thinks it is right to post horrific photos just to gain extra clicks on their website is beyond belief, nobody needs to see these photos.
More respect needs to be given in these sensitive cases.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The Government isn't responsible for deciding the content of the press.
We could accept a petition to make it illegal to photograph the scene of a traffic accident without permission, if that's what you'd like to see happen.
