Generic Junk Mail

Additional Information

Generic Junk Mail addressed to "The Householder" or "The Occupier" is currently a loophole around the Mail Preference Service & by using the Royal Mail in this way is no different that to use a 3rd party agency to flood the internet with Spam e-Mails.

I propose that legislation be imposed to stop companies from using Generic Addressing for Commercial Purposes & to make all Promotional Material be addressed by name only, which would enable the addressee to opt out, using the Mail Preference Service.
