Review the debating rules to allow members to directly call out lies
The debating rules in the House of Commons relating to "unparliamentary" language require urgent review.
The rules should change to allow Members of Parliament to call out ‘lies’ told by other Members in The House in direct terms, provided they present irrefutable evidence to support that claim.
It is clear to everyone inside and out with Parliament that deliberate lies are regularly used - including at the highest levels - in the House of Commons as a tactic to cover up, misdirect, or place blame elsewhere.
The current rules that protect liars are a joke and an insult to the voting public who deserve honest representation.
