This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.

You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.

We understand that you are concerned about the prospect of the UK entering into an international agreement. However, there is currently no such treaty. The World Health Assembly has agreed to start a global process to draft and negotiate a convention, agreement or other international instrument under the Constitution of the World Health Organization to strengthen pandemic prevention, preparedness and response. You can find out more about this here: www.who.int/news/item/01-12-2021-world-health-assembly-agrees-to-launch-process-to-develop-historic-global-accord-on-pandemic-prevention-preparedness-and-response

We can only accept petitions that make requests relating to the current Government or Parliament, because decisions by the current Government or Parliament cannot bind future governments or parliaments.

We have published the following petition, which you might like to sign:

Do not sign any WHO Pandemic Treaty unless it is approved via public referendum: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/614335
