Support the poorest people facing hunger.
Play a leading role in helping people around the world facing hunger and malnutrition. We ask you to keep food affordable and stabilise prices; reverse cuts to international aid; and provide new funding to prevent famine in the future. Millions of people will be at risk if we don't.
After decades of progress in reducing hunger, it has almost doubled since 2019. The conflict in Ukraine, brought on by Russia’s invasion, is exacerbating pre-existing hunger crises for many countries.
The UN projects that a further 8-20m people will now be left hungry from the knock-on effects of soaring prices and broken supply chains. Today, 811 million people are living with chronic hunger.
If we don't act fast the threat of famine will increase for millions of people.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you are concerned about global food poverty, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
We could accept a petition calling for changes to foreign aid, but the UK Government and Parliament are not responsible for food prices.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
