Teach more about environmental awareness in schools and tackle eco-anxiety
I ask the government to include more about climate change and the environment in the school curriculum so that the next few generations are aware of problems surrounding them and are able to take action.
The issue of eco anxiety needs to be seen and taken seriously since it is rapidly increasing
Students are not taught enough about environmental issues in the modern day yet they are the ones who will have to fix it in the years to come. Awareness for our current situation needs to be prompted in all subjects (not just geography)!!!
Eco anxiety is becoming more and more frequent in youth and is not good for mental health. It needs to be addressed and those suffering from it need to be reassured that problems will be solved yet the problems ARENT BEING SOLVED!!!
WE NEED TO TAKE ACTION!!!
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. Sustainability and climate change is already part of the National Curriculum, which you can read more about here
commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-briefings/cdp-2021-0166/
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do, if you'd like specific things added to the curriculum.
