Petition Action

Defer all UK fluoridation plans until the outcome of the US TSCA Trial is clear.

Petition Details

This Federal Court trial seeks to establish that EPA must regulate fluoride ion ppm in US drinking water to remove all unreasonable risks to fetal and infant brain development found at 0.7 ppm. On 7 June NTP's revised report should enable Judge Chen to redirect EPA and Plaintiffs. Follow this case.

Additional Information

New evidence quantifies IQ and functional loss risks - also ADHD /ASD increments - augmented if fluoridated water is used for infant formula in place of breast milk.

All this harm stands against ever more derisory caries restraint via fluoridation since 1975. Topical fluoride in pastes and varnishes plus regular inspections and conservative treatments - free to every Sottish child via ChildSmile - promote real caries reductions.

UK Parliament must ultimately reject blinkered DoH legislation.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

We think you're concerned about the plans to add fluoride to UK tap water. However, we're not sure what action you want the Government to take in response to developments including the US court case mentioned in your petition.

You can find out more about the Government's plans on water fluoridation, and a summary of evidence relating to potential adverse effects, here:
