Ban the use of mobile phones in the Chambers of the Houses of Parliament
I believe that MPs and Lords should not be allowed to use smartphones and smartdevices during and between debates and proceedings until outside the Chambers.
Technology has shown itself to be a distraction for certain politicians.
Politicians should focus on matters at hand rather than scroll Twitter and browse the web.
The Commons and Lords Chambers should be recognised as venues where people can listen to each others views. I believe that screens are obstructive to this regard.

The use of mobile phones in the House of Lords would be a matter for the House of Lords, and we can only accept petitions that the UK Government or House of Commons are responsible for.
