Fund fitness classes and review treatment of cancer patients in recovery
The Government should fund local fitness classes for people recovering from cancer treatment, and hold a review of how people recovering from cancer are supported to regain their fitness.
Around 200,000 people in the UK each year are diagnosed with cancer and many will receive limited to no access to funded fitness classes. Those suffering chronic fatigue and physical impact would benefit hugely from fitness classes to recover. This would help to offer a meaningful pathway of structured and progressive exercise rehabilitation.
