For the Government to review treatment and care of people with Irlen syndrome.
I would like the Government to recognise Irlen Syndrome so all children can be assessed at primary school and if they receive a positive diagnosis to be provided with free coloured sheets or glasses to assist with their education.
Many children have Irlen Syndrome, they fall behind at school because parents and teachers are not aware of the condition. If talked about it involves an expensive private test some parents cannot afford. This can cause some pupils falling behind with their education.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you are concerned about support for people with Irlen syndrome, but it's not clear if you just want the Government to provide funding to help improve diagnosis of Irlen syndrome in educational settings, or review treatment and care for people with Irlen syndrome more widely.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
