Stop disqualifying/banning people from driving for minor offences
Stop disqualifying/banning people from driving for minor offences. For example failing to provide details or speeding slightly over the limit.
Driving is a very important part of every day life, especially in todays day and age. Taking that away from someone should not be an option except in serious cases, serious crime like taking pursuit from police and endangering lives or using vehicles for serious organised crimes etc.
People use driving for work, for children, to run house holds. Small tasks like grocery shopping twice a week using public transport will add additional strain to many already financially suffering households.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. Minor road offences are dealt with by endorsements. You can see more here
www.gov.uk/penalty-points-endorsements/endorsement-codes-and-penalty-points
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do, such as not giving penalty points for specific offences that could combine to trigger a driving ban.
