Petition Action

Remove Public Office Holders from Public Office who commit Malfeasance

Petition Details

We the general Public demand as electors and tax payers of Government to remove any Public Office holder who is found guilty of malfeasance.

Additional Information

In R v Rimmington, R v Goldstein [2005] UKHL63 at paragraph 30 the House of Lords confirmed this approach, saying:

“…good practice and respect for the primacy of statute…require that conduct falling within the terms of a specific statutory provision should be prosecuted under that provision unless there is good reason for doing otherwise.”

We the People demand that Parliament remove those who are guilty of Malfeasance. We will fund corruption in our Government.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. There is no specific offence of malfeasance.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do, such as the automatic removal of anyone found guilty of misconduct in public office.
