Replace "first-past-the-post" with "Proportional Representation"
Hold a referendum to allow the electorate to choose how they are governed.
All political parties when in power have in the past discussed the option of "Proportional Representation" and then decided it will not be in their best interest to change.
Most democratic countries around the world use Proportional Representation as that best represents the electorate so take the decision away from UK politicians and allow the electorate to decide how they want to be governed.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand you’re concerned about the voting system for UK general elections, however it’s not clear whether you want the voting system to be changed unilaterally, or for a referendum to be held to decide whether to change the voting system.
