Limit parking fines to no more than £10 per hour or similar
The government should regulate to ensure parking fines are not excessive and be based on how long over the limit was involved.
If someone overstays their parking limit, for example a 2 hour limit in a supermarket care park, they may have had a meal and be elderly and slow at getting around, they could be £50 fine. This is excessive and should be regulated, based on per hour. The government should regulate to ensure fines are not excessive and be based on how long over the limit was involved. This would help the general population.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about private parking fines are a matter for individual landowners, not the UK Government or Parliament.
