Hold ranked elections
I think we should hold ranked elections choosing a first second and a third option for voting
I think this would make us more democratic as used in other countries. This would also help people who want to support a smaller party but want to make their vote count and would scale down tactical voting. This would also be used to send messages to the government by for example using their third option to vote for a smaller party promising to deal with any issue the government hasn't.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand you want people to be able to 'rank' the candidates standing for election in their area, however it's not clear how you want seats to be allocated based on these rankings. It's also not clear whether you want this to apply to general elections, local council elections, or both.
You can find out more about different voting systems here: www.electoral-reform.org.uk/voting-systems/types-of-voting-system/.
You could have a petition calling for general elections to be held using a proportional voting system such as the Single Transferrable Vote (STV), if that is something you'd like to see happen, so long as the petition was clear which system you wanted.
You might like to sign this petition which calls for a similar action: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/615332
