Make all meals in the members dining room cost no more than 30p to make.
The members dining room should produce meals that use ingredients that cost no more than 30p. These meals should also be sold for 30p (saving MPs money during this economic squeeze).
MP Lee Anderson has claimed that meals can be made for 30p. We believe the government should play its part in helping save public money during this financial uncertainty by cutting the costs of meals provided in the members dining room. This will reduce the overall cost of providing meals to MPs, money which can be used to help poor families struggling to feed themselves and their children.
MPs could perhaps also be offered lessons on how to cook their own 30p meals or prepare packed lunches.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand you'd like meals in the Members' Dining Room to be made using 30p of ingredients, but we're not sure if you want them to be sold to MPs at below cost price accounting for running costs beyond the cost of the ingredients, such as the cost of preparing the meal and staffing the dining room.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
