Utility standing charges
I want to see a scrapping, or a strong reduction, of the standing charges on utilities bills. They are far too high.
Remove or reduce the standing charges.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. Decisions about standing charges are a matter for utility providers and Ofgem, not the UK Government or Parliament.
