Increase everyone's wages in line with each minimum/living wage increase.
Increase all PAYE earners wages through their employers as mandatory each time the living/minimum wage is increased.
Everytime the minimum/living wage is increased & higher earners stay the same
devaluing the time, effort & commitment those individuals have put into building their careers.
This gap closing means less taking on more demanding roles as they can increasingly get the same compensation elsewhere.
Why would someone want to take on a stressful, demanding job, spend years developing their technical knowledge & experience to earn the same as you can get with average gcse's straight out of school.
