Petition Action

Judicial review into implementation of Personal Independence Payments

Additional Information

The Government has commissioned 2 main companies, Atos and Capita, to undertake assessments as to whether people qualify for PIP.

The purpose of this petition is for a Judicial Review to look into the implementation of PIP, specifically looking at whether these companies are using a bonus culture to hit targets in order to cut the number of people on benefits.

Objective assessments can not be made when those carrying out assessments are liable to gain bonuses from hitting targets.

I want a Judicial Review into PIP's implementation, and whether bonuses / targets are being used. If they are then the process is faulty, and the Government by commissioning this and failing to regulate it, I would argue, are acting Ultra Vires (beyond their powers).
