Petition Action

Require online games have child-only servers to help protect children

Petition Details

Bring in a law that gaming companies hosting online games need to provide child-only servers for UK users, with access limited to under 16s. The Government should require ID and age checks to ensure these servers are only used by children.

Additional Information

There is a huge problem with grooming via online gaming and action is needed to create a safer way for children to play games online.

We believe that requiring child-only servers, with rigorous age and ID checks, would better protect children from online dangers.
