Stop BBC from shutting down their children's channel CBBC
I would like the government to restrict the BBC from shutting down one of the only Freeview/Easily accessible children's channels.
The transition to a digital media platform excludes any poorer families who can't afford to get new technology for their children to enjoy themselves. A good internet connection, and a device is required to watch iPlayer, therefore, making it difficult for families in poorer/difficult situations to be able to have their children watch any children's shows or entertainment. No child should be restricted from entertainment growing up.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. Decisions on what content to broadcast, and what platforms to make content available on, is an operational matter for the BBC, not the UK Government or Parliament.
