Review probable case definitions for Monkeypox

Petition Details

We ask the Government to review the monkeypox probable case definitions published by the UK Health Security Agency, that currently include the presence of a rash in a "gay, bisexual, or other man who has sex with men (GBMSM)".

Additional Information

Further stigmatisation of gay and bisexual men risks the safety of members of the LGBT community. It also risks public health, as heterosexual people with signs and symptoms of monkeypox may not engage with medical services If they believe it only affects gay or bisexual men.
