Implement a cap on vehicle fuel prices
We would like the government to implement a cap on the price per litre garages and forecourts can charge for vehicle fuels.
The cost is to fill vehicles is increasing almost daily, which is having a massive impact on everything from public transport costs, daily commuting and haulage fees.
The government ordered fuel companies to reduce the price per litre by 5p but in the last week they’ve gone up by nearly 20p.
Within a short radius of each other the varying price of fuels can vary dramatically, but it’s almost becoming mafia run business.
A blanket cap across the county is needed now !

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for. The Government isn't responsible for setting the price of fuel and energy, which is a matter for suppliers.
We have published the following petition, which you might like to sign:
Set up an independent regulator to monitor and regulate vehicle fuel pricing: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/605282
