Change planning regs for mobile homes/static caravans on equestrian properties
Change the regulations regarding siting of mobile homes/log cabins/static caravans on premises used to house horses. Currently it is extremely difficult to near impossible to live on premises where horses are kept stabled whether private or commercial. This could be restricted to only mobile homes.
There is a massive shortage of property available with land and outbuildings suitable for equestrian use and those available are horrendous prices. Farmers get permission to live on a premises because of the welfare aspect of caring for the animals. And also get class Q permission to convert barns to dwellings. It is a welfare issue to leave stabled horses unattended overnight. They can become ill suddenly (colic for example). They can get injured or cast (stuck upside down against a wall).

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you are concerned about the impact of current planning regulations for people who are responsible for horses, but it's not clear what changes you want to be made to these regulations.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
