Make ‘Mental Health Studies’ a separate subject in the National Curriculum

Petition Details

We’re calling on the Government to add a new subject ‘Mental Health Studies’ and give this the same status as Physical Education in both primary and Secondary schools.

Additional Information

The Government’s COVID-19 mental health and wellbeing surveillance report says:

‘Evidence suggests that some children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing has been substantially impacted during the pandemic.’

Modules could include;
Mindfulness
Meditation
The effects of social media, nutrition and sleep on mental health
CBT to help with anxiety
