Stop charging NHS patients to watch tv
Stop charging patients for tv, I’ve witnessed dementia patients sit on a ward for twelve hours with nothing to do, it’s not fair, there still human!
I’ve witnessed patients, bored, we should be charging for tv
It’s made makes agitated, patients worry enough about their own treatment, by giving them something to do, can help with their mental health
Why are we charging them? It’s not fair, the tv was on for the jubilee but after it was over patient were left to sit all day with nothing to do? This isn’t fair
Especially for the elderly, there aren’t enough supplies to keep the patients occupied? Please can we act to help patients

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about charges for entertainment services in NHS facilities are a matter for individual NHS Trusts, not the UK Government or Parliament.
If you are concerned about charges in your area, you could contact your local NHS Trust directly: www.nhs.uk/servicedirectories/pages/nhstrustlisting.aspx
We could accept a petition calling on the Government to fund free TV in all NHS hospitals, if that's something you'd like to happen.
