To provide closure to all issues of criminal investigation and prosecution of British soldiers and police officers connection with all acts in the Northern Ireland troubles pre- dating the Good Friday Peace Agreement. HM Government to pass an Act of Parliament granting a general amnesty to all British troops and police for all acts prior to the Good Friday Agreement.
