Not taking reasonable steps to protect children from accessing pornography punishable by law
It should be made a criminal offence punishable by law to not take reasonable steps to protect children from accessing pornography.
This would mean that allowing children to access computers, mobile phones and other devices with the capability of viewing pornographic material would become a crime if there were not sufficient content restrictions placed on the device.
It is felt that this would ensure that parents and other adults would make more effort to ensure that children are not accessing inappropriate material and would help then reduce the number of sex offences carried out by children.
