Petition Action

GP staff should be entitled to NHS pay rates and contract conditions

Petition Details

All other NHS staff are employed under Agenda for Change, which both harmonise and modernise pay and conditions, terms of employment and human resources policies across the NHS. General Practice staff should also be employed under Agenda for Change pay and conditions.

Additional Information

Practice Managers, Nurses, Pharmacists, Health Care Assistants, Medical Secretaries and Reception staff who work in General Practice are at the forefront of providing NHS health care, however they are not given the same terms and conditions as NHS staff. General Practice staff may not get more than the statutory minimum annual leave, sick pay and maternity leave. There should be a consistent pay and benefits across our national healthcare system. Why should GP staff be on inferior contracts?
