This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you're concerned about fuel prices, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. Businesses selling fuel are private businesses that sell fuel to make a profit, and it's not clear when you want fines to be imposed.

We have published the following petitions, which you might like to sign:

Set up an independent regulator to monitor and regulate vehicle fuel pricing: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/605282

Cap profit fuel forecourt operators can make on petrol and diesel to 10p/litre: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/616956
