Exclude US States that restrict abortion rights from any new US-UK trade deal
Government must review any US-UK free trade deal in light of the SCOTUS decision on Roe vs. Wade, and decisions by many states to restrict rights to abortion. The Government must exclude any US state that restricts a woman's right to abortion from any future trade deal.
UK must be values reflected in trade negotiations and deals.
Following the US SCOTUS decision on Roe vs. Wade, the Government must act to ensure that our values are reflected in our trading arrangements, including any trade deal with the US. In Britain, abortion is allowed up to 24 weeks. Thus we should refrain from economically empowering states that limit women below this.
Part of leaving the EU was to allow us to put British values into our trading system. This is a test of our values as a nation.
