Public inquiry into treatment of people with mental health issues by the DWP
I want the Department for Work and Pensions to be held to account for its treatment of benefit claimants with mental health issues, many of whom are vulnerable.
I have experienced appalling treatment from Jobcentre Plus and DWP staff first-hand. This has had a significant and adverse effect on my mental health.
A public inquiry could review cases involving claimants with mental health issues, and make recommendations for reform to ensure that claimants are treated fairly and appropriately in future.
