Establish a pump watch consumer monitor to ensure fair prices at the fuel pumps
we are seeing prices at the pump‘s reach a record new level of almost £2.00 per litre. This means that the average family is paying at least £16 more to fill up the tank than a year ago, and in rural areas are seeing traditional pumps prices having to find at least an extra £20.00 more.
This shows that when wholesale oil prices rise there is a rocket affect in terms of prices at the pumps. But when they fall as they are currently there appears to be a Feather approach to reducing prices. To that end I am calling on you as a member of the working class and as a labour follower to establish a pump watch consumer monitor to ensure fair prices at the fuel pumps that are in line with wholesale prices.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. We're not sure what you'd like a "pump watch consumer monitor" to do, such as what powers they would have.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
