Make A Legal Obligation For Employers To Give Compassionate Leave For Family Pet
My Family recently lost our beloved 7 year old Dogue de Bordeaux Teddy to Cancer a year and a half after had lost our 10 year German Shepherd Lucy, Teddys big sister this has absolutely broken are familys hearts they are not just dogs they where are family members a huge part of our lives
Dogs , Pets of any kind are not just PETS they are our Family we make a bond with these animals and are heartbroken when we lose them just as much as when a relative passes away. We need time to grieve for the loss of a Pet and come to terms with it just as much as when a relative passes away Make it a legal obligation for Employers to give staff compassionate leave when they lose a most dearly loved pet.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We are sorry to hear about the loss of your pet, but we can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. This would be a decision for individual employers.
